Bad Bunny will give a new song its worldwide premiere next week during his performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. The artist hasn’t released any details of what the song will be. The ceremony will air live from Coral Gables, Florida, on Telemundo at 7 p.m. ET on Oct. 5; it will also be viewable via Universo, Peacock, and the Telemundo App.
The artist, who released a new song, “Un Preview,” earlier this week, joins an already stacked lineup that also features Farruko, Marc Anthony, Grupo Frontera, and Sofia Reyes, among others. He’s also up for 15 awards including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year. His most recent album, Un Verano Sin Ti, debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 last year.
The trophy toss will take place a day before Billboard Latin Music Week ends, which runs from Oct. 2 to Oct. 6 at Miami’s Faena Forum. “Billboard Latin Music Week prides itself on bringing the best, brightest, and most relevant and exciting artists and executives together,”Billboard‘s Leila Cobo said in a statement last month. “This year’s very diverse group represents why Latin music is dominating global charts. This is a groundbreaking year for Latin Music Week with many more announcements to come.”
Shakira will participate in a Q&A with Billboard’s Chief Content Officer Leila Cobo. Billboard Latin Music Week will also feature performances by La Base and Wisin, Peso Pluma, Nathy Peluso, Fonseca, and Myke Towers, among others. Topics for panel discussions at the event include “Boys Club No More,” “The New Mexican Revolution,” and “Making the Hit Live.”
