Mick Jagger joined Jimmy Fallon for a skit on The Tonight Show in which he confirmed that he did, in fact, once get some satisfaction. In the clip, Jagger and Fallon get locked in a walk-in freezer and begin to spill their deepest secrets thinking they are trapped there forever (the sketch is aptly named “Freezer Secrets”).
“One time I did get satisfaction,” Jagger admitted to Fallon in reference to the Rolling Stones‘ 1965 hit “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” “Way back in 1992.”
“Really?” Fallon asked. “From what?” “Popping bubble wrap,” Jagger replied. “It’s just so satisfying.” Later, Jagger claims his real name is not Mick, but Rick. “One time a barista got it wrong and I was too polite to correct her,” he says. “It just got stuck.”
Over the weekend, Jagger made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live to play a horny nun in a parody of Sister Act 3 alongside host Bad Bunny. The musician has been making the rounds to promote the Rolling Stones’ new LP, Hackney Diamonds, which dropped earlier this month. The band announced the album with the help of Fallon, who joined them in the London borough of Hackney about the new music last month.
Hackney Diamonds is the rock band’s first original studio album since 2005’sA Bigger Bang. It includes thefinal recordingsfrom longtime drummerCharlie Watts, who died in 2021, with Steve Jordan, Watts’ live replacement,filling in on the rest. The album features guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Lady Gaga, as well as a song with original Stones bassist Bill Wyman.
Lady Gaga joined the band for an intimate performance in New York City at Racket last week. During the show, the singer came onstage for “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” her collaboration on the LP.
