Vanderpump Rules‘James Kennedyhas been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, Rolling Stone has confirmed.
Kennedy was arrested after the Burbank Police Department was called to theVanderpump Rulesstar’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, “regarding an argument between a man and a woman.”
“The investigation determined it was a domestic incident, leading to [Kennedy’s] arrest,” a police spokesperson said in a statement. “[Kennedy] was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office.”
He was released on $20,000 bail.
It is currently unclear if the woman in question was the reality star’s girlfriend,Ally Lewber. The pair were seen together at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party earlier in the night.
Lewber started dating Kennedy in 2022, joining him as a cast member onVanderpump Rules. Earlier this year, Lewber addressed rumors that Kennedy wasphysically abusive during their relationship, saying that he had never “physically hurt” or “assaulted” her.
“That’s crazy to me that that’s the most asked question [for me]. That makes me really sad, because no, I’m good. That never happened. There was no physical altercation,” she said during an appearance on fellow VPR star Shceana Shay’s podcast when asked about a rumor that the two got into a physical altercation in a car. “Yes, we were in the car together. I thought we were having fun. We were having fun. But then James and I did get into an argument, but there was no physical assault. I was not bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I’ll say on that.”
