Jennifer Aniston has casted her vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, the actress wrote that she was not only voting for “access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy,” but also for “for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.”
Aniston previously slammed Donald Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, following a resurfaced 2021 comment that politicians like Vice President Kamala Harris are “childless cat ladies.” The star pointed to Vance’s track record of blocking access to fertility treatments, and said at the time, “I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States.”
In her post shared on Wednesday, Aniston urged Americans to vote, writing, “I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?”
The Friends icon continued, “Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy – and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us.” She concluded by stating she had “proudly voted” for the Harris-Walz ticket.
Numerous leaders across Hollywood, politics, and music have showed their support for Harris as Election Day draws near. Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Charli XCX, Barbra Streisand, Jane Fonda, Bad Bunny, and more have publicly endorsed the vice president and used their platforms to help determine the future of the country.
