Disney+ is (yet again) hiking its prices, following a pattern it has set over the past few years of raising prices in October. Disney announced last month that the streaming service will increase by $2 a month for many of its tiers and bundles, with the price slated to go up on Oct. 21.

The price hike was announced on Sept. 23, just a day after Disney said it was putting Jimmy Kimmel back on the air following a weeklong suspension. The timing certainly was conspicuous, following a deluge of cancellations by Disney+ subscribers over the decision.

You can get an annual Disney+ plan for the current price of $160/year, before it goes up to $190/year on Oct. 21.

Hulu

You can sign up for an annual Hulu plan for $99.99 a year, before the price goes up to $119.99

For those looking to sign up (or re-sign up), the clock is ticking to save on Disney+ before the price goes up. If you sign up for a Disney+ Premium subscription for one year, you’ll save $30 on an annual plan and delay the price hike for another year. You can also save on an annual subscription of ESPN Select, which is going from $119.99 a year to $129.99. The price increase also takes place on Oct. 21.

You can also save on the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited Bundle. Monthly subscriptions cost $35.99 for the ad-supported tier, or $44.99 for the ad-free tier, but right now, you can get a monthly subscription for $29.99 for the ad-supported tier or $38.99 for the ad-free tier. The offer locks in the lower rate for one year, and the offer ends on Jan. 5, 2026.

Likewise, you can save on an annual subscription to Hulu by signing up now. The ad-supported tier costs $99.99 a year, but it will go up to $119.99 a year on Oct. 21. You can also save on a Hulu + Live TV plan. Right now, it costs $64.99/mo for 3 months, instead of the $82.99/mo price.

Currently, there are no annual plans for Disney+ bundles, such as the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select bundle or the Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max Bundle. If you sign up for those plans, you’ll be charged the new rate starting with the next month’s billing cycle, but you will at least save for one month.

Does Disney+ Have a Free Trial?

Disney+ does not currently a free trial. The Disney+ and Hulu bundle, the ESPN+ trio, or the Max add-on also don’t come with free trials. However, a standalone Hulu subscription is available with a free trial, including up to 30 days to try the streaming service out.

The closest workaround for getting a Disney+ free trial is to sign up for Hulu + Live TV, which also includes Disney+ and ESPN+. However, the Hulu + Live TV trial is only three days, which isn’t a long time to check out all of the offerings on Disney+.
