Ozzy Osbourne’s signature sunglasses were almost as defining as his music. His round frames, adopted in the Nineties (likely as a nod to John Lennon), became a pillar of Ozzy’s iconic uniform. Before his death in July, the Prince of Darkness teamed up with Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO) to give fans a premium collection of classic Ozzy-style sunglasses.
Launching Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT, the Ozzy Osbourne x GLCO sunnies feature round titanium frames crafted in Japan, CR39 lenses, and titanium nose pads. Details include gothic filigree, a custom bridge, and a temple ball inscribed with Ozzy’s cross “O.” The titanium means they’re incredibly lightweight yet durable. The sunnies also arrive in a gothic metal collectors’ case that’s almost as cool as the shades inside.
The Ozzy Osbourne x GLCO sunglasses will be available on GarrettLeight.com and at GLCO locations in four colorways, priced at $550 each.

“Collaborating with Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most special projects I’ve ever taken on at GLCO. Ozzy was not only a creative genius, but a once-in-a-generation original whose style was as iconic as his music,” GLCO founder Garrett Leight tells Rolling Stone. “His eyewear wasn’t just an accessory — it was a part of his identity, an extension of his personality, and a symbol of his originality. To be able to recreate a piece of Ozzy is an honor for me, because he inspired so many with not just his artistry, but also his humor, his kindness, and his love”.

Because the collection was created in close collaboration with Osbourne before his death on July 22, it has since shifted to be a fitting tribe to the Black Sabbath frontman. “This collection is our way of celebrating a true legend who defined what it means to live authentically. Cheers to the Prince of Darkness,” says Leight. “May his legacy live on for eternity.”
Ozzy Osbourne x GLCO comes just over a week after the posthumous release of Osbourne’s Last Rites, an autobiography detailing his last 15 years of his life. Pick up a copy on Amazon here and read it through a pair of the rocker’s GLCO sunglasses.
