While Trevor Noah has departed the Daily Show, he’ll be returning to host the 2024 Grammys for a fourth year in a row.
The comedian made the announcement during his Spotify podcastWhat Now? With Trevor Noahearly Thursday. “I’m hosting the Grammys. I’m excited about that, yeah,” he said on the recent episode. “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it’s happening.”
Noah will be pulling double duty as both a host and nominee at the 2024 Grammys, as his stand-up I Wish You Would was nominated for Best Comedy Album.
The Golden Globes also gave the comedian a nod in its newly-created Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television category for his upcoming special,Trevor Noah: Where Was I. Noah was nominated alongside Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, and Wanda Sykes.
Where Was Ipremieres Dec. 19 and marks Noah’s fourth comedy special on Netflix. Filmed at the Fox Theater in Detroit, the special delves into foreign national anthems and the cultural norms Noah experienced during his ventures while traveling the world.
The 66thGrammy Awardswill take place at theCrypto.comArena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4. SZA,Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Victoria Monét are among the artists set to compete for the top honors. SZA, following hercelebrated album,SOS, led all nominees this year with nine nods, whileMonét’sdebut album,Jaguar II, brought her seven nominations.Rodrigoand Swift garnered six nominations each, as didboygenius, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, and Brandy Clark.
