Jacob Elordi and Reneé Rapp will serve as first-time Saturday Night Live host and musical guest respectively when the show returns from its holiday break.
SNL announced its January 20, 2024 plans mid-episode Saturday, with the Euphoria and Priscilla star tapped to host with the Mean Girls actress and Snow Angel singer aboard as performer. Both will be making their SNL debut.
Elordi is the midst of a breakout year as the actor currently stars in four recently released films: Priscilla (where he plays Elvis Presley), The Sweet East, Saltburn, and He Went That Way.
Rapp, whose debut Snow Angel was one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of 2023, is set to star in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls, which arrives in theaters a week before her SNL performance.
SNL closed out its 2023 slate of episodes Saturday with the return of Kate McKinnon along with musical guest Billie Eilish, who performed Barbie’s “What Was I Made For?” along with a cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
Hosts on the 49th season of SNL have also so far included Pete Davidson, Nate Bargatze, Timothee Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Emma Stone, and Adam Driver, with musical guests Ice Spice, Foo Fighters, Boygenius, Tate McRae, Noah Kahan, and Olivia Rodrigo. So far only one artist has performed double duty as host and musical guest this season: Bad Bunny.
