Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly Surprise Snoop Dogg With Birthday Serenade

Saturday night was already going pretty well for fans of Snoop Dogg and Step Brothers stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. The rap legend joined the two actors on stage at the Best Night of Your Life 2 benefit show, to perform “Boats ‘N Hoes,” the song originally sung by the characters Dale and Brennan in the 2008 comedy. After performing a verse of “Boats ‘N Hoes” together, the trio then transitioned into the rapper’s 1994 hit, “Gin and Juice.”

Then, before Snoop could leave the stage, Reilly took the mic to announce that the rapper had celebrated his 52nd birthday the day prior.

“Yesterday was a very special day,” Reilly told the crowd at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, in a video shared to Snoop’sInstagram. “It was Mr. Snoop Dogg’s birthday. We’re about to sing happy birthday to the greatest rapper in the world!”

The video shows Ferrell wheeling out a giant cake for the rapper, who uses the birthday candles to light a joint.

“That’s what I’m talking about,” Reilly said, as the crowd launched into “Happy Birthday,” followed by Snoop blowing out his candles.

Therapper recently went on Jimmy Kimmel Livetoconfirm, once and for all, that he knows the most drug dealers of anyone on the planet. Host Jimmy Kimmel asked Snoop about the time Mike Epps enlisted the rapper to help him find weed in Iceland and Snoop confirmed that, yes, he know someone who knows someone in almost every country.

“Well, last time I checked I was the plug to your plug,” Snoop said. “I’m the connect. It’s good to have friends that have friends that are international and global and able to get you medicated and dedicated no matter where you at.”

In September, Snoopteamed upwith Chris Stapleton and drummer Cindy Blackman Santana to remake Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” for ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Meanwhile,Ferrell recently got behind the decksat the Sigma Alpha Mu frat, ahead of the school’s football game against the University of Arizona. Videos circulated online of Ferrell dropping bangers likeJay-Z and Kanye West’s “N***as in Paris,”clapping along withSurvivor’s “Eye of the Tiger,”and blasting the official millennial/Gen Z national anthem, the Killers’ “Mr. Brightside.”
