Nearly 16 years after its last episode aired on TV, Hank, Peggy, Bobby, and Dale are back on your screen for the King of the Hill reboot. The animated comedy revival, now streaming on Hulu, features 10 new episodes and follows the now-retired Hills after returning to Arlen, Texas, from their time in Saudi Arabia. Bobby, meantime, is now 21 and working at a restaurant in Dallas. Billy Strings wrote a bluegrass cover of the theme song. Time flies.

“With King of the Hill, it’s the small, relatable family stories,” King of the Hill showrunner Saladin K. Patterson told Rolling Stone of the show in a recent interview. “Focus on Hank representing that sensible middle with cultural commentary, not political commentary. That was very important to the original run of the show.”
The Fox hit originally premiered back in 1997, producing plenty of iconic quotes and jokes that fans will likely see referenced in the new episodes. “There are a lot of superfans on the writing staff who remember all the best jokes,” Patterson said. “We just had to pick and choose, and make it organic to the story we’re telling now. As you can imagine, we have a board full of them.”
