'It Ends With Us' Legal Battle Between Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni Is the Subject of New Doc

The high-profile legal battle between the two It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will be the subject of an upcoming documentary, produced by ITN productions. The 90-minute documentary, He Said, She Said: Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni, will premiere in the U.K. on Channel 5 Monday. Afterward, an abbreviated 60-minute version will head to Investigation Discovery on March 31, and will be available to stream by Max and Discovery+.

“This story has captivated the world, perpetuated by social media which is still gaining momentum,” Denise Seneviratne, a commissioning editor at Channel 5, said in a statement Monday.“It feels really pertinent for us as a channel to be making this film within the context of ‘#Me too.’ We’re very happy to be working with ITN on this U.K.feature length version.”

He Said, She Said will delve into the legal complaint filed by Lively against Baldoni, which alleges her costar engaged in sexual misconduct during filming of the book-adapted movie, It Ends With Us. Lively also accused Baldoni of hiring a PR agency to orchestrate a smear campaign against her, during its summer 2024 premiere. Baldoni denied and countered the allegations with a $400 million suit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist alleging they defamed and extorted him.

News of the legal battle broke in December when a report by the New York Times revealed that Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni alleging sexual harassment. Following a four-and-a-half hour virtual court hearing March 6, a judge agreed to keep some of Lively’s private records and correspondences out of the media during the legal squabble, while other records will be “Attorneys’ Eyes Only” if it is considered “highly likely to cause a significant business, commercial, financial or privacy injury.” The trial is expected to take place in March 2026.
