The paperback will be released on Feb. 25 through sports-publisher Triumph Books, and features articles, reporting, and photography from The Philadelphia Inquirer from the start of the season to the Super Bowl. The book is printed on matte paper and has 128 full color pages. The issue compiles 20 articles and 50 photos from sports writers and photographers at The Inquirer, including an article on running back Saquon Barkley’s infamous backward hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Eagles historic season was propelled by superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley, with Vic Fangio’s ferocious defense keeping the Chiefs in check at Super Bowl LIX. Despite coming in the slight favorites, the Chiefs were decisively routed by the Eagles, falling 40-22.
The Eagles have a history of upsetting the favorites — they also toppled defending champs New England Patriots in 2017 for their first Super Bowl win. They entered Super Bowl LIX with an 18-3 record in the 2024 season, having defeated the Washington Commanders at the NFC Championship. Of course, Eagles fans will have plenty of time to savor their victory, with the regular NFL season not returning until September.
