Bummed you missed out on Adrianne Lenker‘s 2024 tour? You’re in luck: the Big Thief singer has announced a massive live album from the solo trek.
The 43-track Live at Revolution Hall, out April 24 on 4AD, is culled from three days of the Bright Future tour. To accompany the announcement, Lenker dropped the previously unreleased “Happiness,” which you can hear below. “Pull over,” she sings on the tender acoustic gem. “Look at mercury.”
In addition to “Happiness,” Live at Revolution Hall contains four other unreleased tracks: “Oldest,” “Ripples,” “I Do Love You,” and “No Limits.” The collection will be released digitally, as well as on a double cassette limited to 500 copies.
The live album was engineered by Andrew Sarlo, Lenker and Big Thief’s longtime producer. “This live album is another generous offering from Adrianne,” Sarlo said in a statement. “Performing a myriad of songs; some new, some rare, some favorites, and beyond in front of an audience and behind the scenes. Clocking in around 120 minutes featuring songs & vignettes recorded exclusively on reel to reel andcassette tape, there was an attempt to create a different spin on what a live album could be.”
He added: “We put friendship at the focal point making this a loving memento from one friend to another. Consider closing your eyes, getting cozy, and listening as if you are watching a film! (Active listening is rewarded by uncovering layers of details within the captures…) Happily listening.”
Lenker will play a series of shows with Big Thief later this year, in Salt Lake City (Sept. 22), Los Angeles (Sept. 27), and Forest Hills, New York (Oct. 25). Tickets can be found here.
