Avenged Sevenfold and Pussy Riot Demand 'More Money, More Taste, More Sex' on 'We Love You Moar'

Avenged Sevenfold have teamed with Pussy Riot‘s Nadya Tolokonnikova for a new rendition of their jazzy metal mindfuck “We Love You,” a track off this year’s Life Is But a Dream… album. The new version, “We Love You Moar,” features Tolokonnikova singing the song’s chant: “More power, more pace/More money, more taste/More sex, more pills/More skin, more shills,” as well as some new lyrics in Russian. The track runs about two minutes shorter than the album version. The band also some autotune to M. Shadows’ vocals and guitar solo.

The group also collaborated with Tolokonnikova on 300 custom-branded balaclavas, the headpiece Pussy Riot wore when angering Russian President Vladimir Putin with their “Punk Prayer” a little more than decade ago, leading to a trial that drew international attention. Proceeds from the sales of the balaclavas benefit SOS North Caucasus, which helps LGBTQ+ people who are in danger in the North Caucasus region of Russia.

“We had a lot of fun reimagining ‘We Love You’ with Pussy Riot creator, Nadya Tolokonnikova,” the band said in a statement. On Twitter, Shadows commented, “Burn it all down.”

Tolokonnikova posted the song to her Instagram story with some of the lyrics she sings in Russian: “Give me power, give me faith/Give me everything in excess/Give me eternity, give me laughter/Give more, give everyone” (or at least that’s what Google Translate says.) She also tweeted, “More Wants/More Needs/More Hits/More Phine.”

Avenged Sevenfold will be on the road until the middle of the month, performing in California, the southwest, Texas, and Michigan before wrapping.
