Apple's AirPods Max Noise-Canceling Headphones Are $100 Off

Deals on Apple‘s AirPods Max aren’t necessarily hard to come by, but there’s usually a caveat. Often, only one color is on sale, or the best discounts will be on the older Lightning cable version of the headphones. But right now, you can save up to $100 on nearly every USB-C version of the AirPods Max — no disclaimer necessary.

It’s not the lowest price we’ve historically seen — Prime Day brought it lower — but for a non sale event, it’s one of the biggest discounts on Apple’s flagship headphones.

When we reviewed the original AirPods Max headphones, released in 2020, we wrote, “Apple has pulled off something really special with AirPods Max. The company squeezed an impressive amount of audio performance from standard AirPods, but it’s clear that it could do a lot more with larger headphones.”

In addition to the headphones’ impressive noise canceling, they feature robust audio quality, with an “Adaptive EQ” that adapts based on the track and volume. That means that, like most Apple audio products, there’s no option to adjust the EQ. Still, in our testing, we were impressed with the audio quality, finding it was more than capable of handling a variety of genres. There’s no headphone jack, but you can listen to lossless audio with a USB-C cable.

In addition to powerful noise canceling, the AirPods Max headphones have a transparency mode that allows for greater situational awareness. The headphones boast a battery life of up to 20 hours. It’s not as impressive as Sony’s latest WH-1000XM6 headphones, which boast up to 30 hours, but it’s nonetheless enough to get you through (most) red-eye flights.

Like many Amazon deals, pricing and stock can fluctuate unexpectedly, so it’s a good idea to act fast.
