Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy Crack Up Over Face Autograph During SAG Awards

Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy teamed up as presenters at the SAG Awards on Sunday to present the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, which Ayo Edebiri won for her role in The Bear, and McCarthy walked away with a special autograph… signed to her forehead in permanent marker.

McCarthy told Eilish that they had met several times, one of them being when Eilish was still in utero because her mother was McCarthy’s improv teacher and pregnant with her at the time. While Eilish acted like McCarthy’s fanning-out was a bit awkward, she played along. But then, the actress asked for the singer to autograph her dress. Eilish refused because she said her dress was so nice. So then, McCarthy asked her to autograph her face, to which she acquiesced.

“Oh! OK. I thought you were gonna be like ‘I don’t want to ruin your pretty face!’” McCarthy said, handing her a Sharpie.

That’s when it was clear the two were enjoying the gag as Eilish used the marker to put her signature across McCarthy’s forehead and while the actress continued to try and talk, Eilish covered her mouth, and the two both fell into laughter.

After the show, McCarthy reminisced on the silly moment in an Instagram post, joking that she plans to wear the signature for the rest of her life.

“I got to check an item off my bucket list last night and I’ll never wash my face again!!” she wrote.

Eilish contributed the track “What Was I Made For?” to the Barbie soundtrack. The film is up for four awards, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture, Margot Robbie is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, and Ryan Gosling is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
