Few brands in the world of running have the pedigree of Brooks, a brand that has been singularly focused on running shoes for over 100 years. REI, which has tons of deals on running shoes during its Anniversary Sale, is running a major discount on the Glycerin StealthFit 21.
Typically $160, the shoes are available for $111, a $49 discount. The deal applies to the four available colorways, and most sizes are still in stock as of this writing. But since Brooks released the StealthFit 22 earlier this year, this is a discontinued style, so these aren’t likely to stay in stock for long.

The flat knit upper is designed for a snug but stretchy fit that adapts to your foot as you run, and the upper is made with recycled materials for sustainability. The shoe is designed for a smooth heel-to-toe transition, and the nitrogen-infused sole is lightweight and plush.
The shoe has neutral support, which means it’s designed for runners with a normal gait who don’t overpronate. The sneakers are maximally cushioned, following the trend popularized by brands like Hoka, but they have a moderate 10mm heel-to-toe drop.
There are four colors to choose from on REI’s website, including White/Grey/Black, Green/Black/White, White/Marshmallow/Blue, and Chateau Grey/Forged Iron. The women’s style of this shoe is also on sale, but it’s limited to one color and limited stock.
Runners were impressed with the shoes’ knit upper, with one writing, “They are the perfect shoes because they have a snug fit without being tight, easy to put on and off, and the tongue is connected to the main body, meaning it doesn’t get in the way at all.” Another wrote that they were “very comfortable athletic shoes from the very first wear.
