Jung Kook will release his new song “Never Let Go” — the BTS singer’s first solo track this year and first since the release of his 2023 LP, Golden — next week.
Big Hit Music on Sunday announced the June 7 arrival of Jung Kook’s latest single, adding that the track would coincide with this year’s BTS Festa, which takes place a week later in Seoul, South Korea.
According to BTS’ label, “Never Let Go” is “a track dedicated to their fans, ARMY, conveying a sincere message to never let go of each other.” Arriving on the 10th anniversary of BTS’ debut album, Dark & Wild, the single “will serve as a gesture of appreciation and love for ARMY worldwide.”
While Jung Kook released Golden — featuring guests like Major Lazer, Jack Harlow, Latto, and DJ Snake — in November, the singer appeared on bandmate J-Hope’s “I Wonder” in March.
The 2024 BTS Festa will commence June 13, with Jin — having recently completed his mandatory military service — the focus of the festivities. “Jin will give a light hug to each of 1,000 fans onsite,” HYBE and Big Hit Music said Saturday. “The event was prepared according to Jin’s wish to greet and interact with fans in a more personal setting.”
They added, “In giving back to ARMY’s unwavering support, Jin has selected the offline event as his first official appearance after the completion of his military obligation. Dispelling concerns surrounding the group’s time of mandatory service, Jin’s appearance is set to signal a highly anticipated next chapter for BTS.”
