Sabrina Carpenter dropped her last album Short n’ Sweet around a year ago, but the pop superstar isn’t wasting any time with its follow-up, Man’s Best Friend. Out now, the singer-songwriter’s latest studio album is now available to order online in a variety of exclusive editions, including on Amazon, Target, and Walmart.

“If I really wanted to, I could have stretched out Short n’ Sweet much, much longer,” Carpenter said of releasing new music in her recent Rolling Stone cover story. “But I’m at that point in my life where I’m like, ‘Wait a second, there’s no rules.’ If I’m inspired to write and make something new, I would rather do that. Why would I wait three years just for the sake of waiting three years? It’s all about what feels right. I’m learning to listen to that a lot more, instead of what is perceived as the right or wrong move.”

After surprising fans with news of her new album, Carpenter announced an alternate cover version of her upcoming LP, following the backlash that the original cover received online. “I signed some copies of Man’s Best Friend for you guys,” Carpenter wrote online. “Here is a new alternate cover approved by God.” The alternative cover is also now available to order on Carpenter’s website.
Along with its exclusive vinyl editions, the album is also available to buy on CD and cassette tape with the original album artwork. The Man’s Best Friend tracklist includes the LP’s lead single “Manchild,” along with new tracks “Tears,” “House Tour,” and more that were written alongside Amy Allen, John Ryan, and Jack Antonoff.

“It’s easily my favorite song we’ve ever done together,” Antonoff recently told Rolling Stone of Carpenter’s “Manchild” single, which they co-wrote with Allen. “The things we did on the last album — things that people really loved — were just the start of places we wanted to take it. It’s like, ‘Oh, you like that? Well, just you wait.’”
“It may have taken Carpenter six albums to finally find the right formula that works for her as a budding pop diva, but now it’s clear there’s no looking back,” a Rolling Stone album review described Man’s Best Friend. “If Short n’ Sweet solidified her stardom, Man’s Best Friend plates her status in gold.”
