Catherine O'Hara, Seth Rogen Riff About Winning Fake Canadian Awards During Golden Globes

Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara had Sunday’s Golden Globes room in laughing to tears as they riffed about winning fake “Golden Antlers” and other miscellaneous Canadian awards for their work in their native country.

“It’s stuff you guys haven’t heard of, but actually, Catherine won not one, but two Golden Antlers for her work as Mama Morissette in the Alanis Morissette story,” joked Rogen before O’Hara added, “What about you and your brave Golden Antler win for your turn as young Ryan, yes, in Gosling, the Ryan Gosling unauthorized biopic?”

“It was unauthorized and, uh,” Rogen started before an elongated bleep blocked out most of his answer.

“But none of these are compared to your Gilded Gretzky-winning role in an Otter’s Tale, the story of a woman who rescued an otter’s cub and nursed it back to health with her own breast milk,” Rogen joked. “And ever since I was a child, I wondered how you shot those scenes with that otter!”

“Painfully,” O’Hara responded. “I think the otter was method. And I lost half a nipple.”

Rogen and O’Hara then joked about their “lauded” pornographic work, joking that they both starred in Pipeline Polly, and Rogen starred in Log Riders, Sticky Syrup, and Moose Knuckles trilogy.

“My mother especially loves Knuckles Deep,” Rogen joked.

The silly Golden Globes moment might be a tease of the type of comedy fans will get to see on Apple TV+’s The Studio, starring both Rogen and O’Hara, alongside Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. The show will follow a movie studio surviving in “a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and commerce to live together,” according to its logline. It will air its first two episodes on May 21 onApple TV+.

Rogen wrote, directed, and produced the 10-episode series alongsideEvan Goldberg. The duo, who first met at a Vancouver bar mitzvah at age 12, have numerous collaborations, includingSuperbad,Pineapple Express,The Boys, and Sausage Party.
