Always check Amazon before buying anything overseas. That’s the lesson I learned recently when I went to Paris and stocked up on Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, the French pharmacy staple that’s been promoted by everyone from Instagram influencers to top celebrity makeup artists alike. I had to check my suitcase to bring home dozens of tubes of this bestselling cream to hand out to friends and family, who had requested samples after hearing about it online.
It’s not just hype either: Embryolisse says it sells one tube of this multi-tasking moisturizer every eight seconds on its website, with reviewers raving about the creamy formula, chic packaging and skin nourishing ingredients.
The best part: while Embryolisse continues to produce its line of products in France, they are now available for purchase on Amazon for easy shipping and delivery in the U.S. And as part of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, the 1 fl oz. tube is on sale for just $14.

I have long been using (and gifting!) the Lait-Crème Concentré, which pulls double duty in my skincare routine as a daily and nightly moisturizer. The milky texture glides on easily and absorbs quickly, with no sticky residue. A quarter-sized amount goes a long way too, spreading over my face and neck to leave my skin feeling soft and supple.
Embryolisse says that’s thanks to its formula of naturally-derived ingredients, including shea butter for softening; beeswax to nourish and protect; soy proteins for extra moisture; and aloe vera to soothe. It’s no wonder the brand calls this a “6-in-1” product. While I personally use it as a face cream and to calm irritated skin (say, after being out in the sun too long), reviewers say the Embryolisse Lait-Crème also works as a make-up base, primer, cleansing milk and face mask too (note: there is no SPF in this product so it won’t work as a sunscreen).
The formula is non-comedogenic and safe for all skin types. It features a subtle scent that the brand describes as “sweet” and “floral,” though I would equate it to more like a blueberry yogurt or smoothie smell. Worth noting: I have sensitive skin that can often react to strong fragrances, but my skin has never acted up with the regular Lait-Crème. Still, the brand offers a version for hyper-sensitive skin that’s hypoallergenic and fragrance-free.

Amazon is selling the regular Embryolisse cream for just $17 online — I bought it at the French drugstore for 12 Euros, which with the current conversion rate, works out to be about $14 USD. So while it’s technically cheaper in France, you’re also saving yourself an entire plane ticket by picking it up online in the U.S.
Amazon says it has sold more than 10,000 units of the Lait Cream in the last few weeks alone, with almost 80% of shoppers giving the product a full, five-star review.
