With Alien: Earth promising to be the next big hit for FX, it’s a good time to be a xenomorph. The series, created by Noah Hawley and starring Sydney Chandler and Timothy Olyphant, is set to premiere on FX on Aug. 12.
The prequel series takes place two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s horror classic Alien, and, as the name suggests, brings the extraterrestrial threat to Earth. It comes a year to the week since the release of Alien: Romulus, itself a sequel to Alien and a prequel to Aliens.
Including the two Alien vs. Predator films, there are a total of nine films in the Alien franchise, plus video games, short films, and more. But fans looking to stream the films can conveniently watch them all in one place. Every film in the series is available to stream on Hulu.
The ad-supported tier costs $9.99/month, and new subscribers can get a month for free. The ad-free tier is $18.99. The Disney+, Hulu, and Max Bundle costs $16.99/month with ads or $29.99/month ad-free. Students can also get the ad-supported tier of Hulu for $1.99/month once verified.

The best way to watch the Alien movies is arguably by release order, since the releases jump back and forth between prequels, sequels, and interquels. The original four-film trilogy runs from Alien to Alien Resurrection, followed by the two AVP movies. The Ridley Scott-directed Prometheus and its sequel Alien: Covenant (2017) are both prequels to the original Alien film, while Alien: Romulus is a standalone sequel to Alien and a prequel to Aliens.
