Airing live tonight on BET, Kevin Hart will host this year’s awards show, which will take place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. Kendrick Lamar scored 10 nods ahead of tonight’s BET Awards, including for “Not Like Us” in the Video of the Year and Viewer’s Choice Award categories. Doechii, Drake, Future, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, SZA, and The Weeknd also received multiple nominations at this year’s ceremony.
On Sunday, a BET spokesperson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the ceremony would continue tonight, following the Los Angeles protests: “BET remains committed to the safety of our guests and staff. We are working closely with LAPD and monitoring the situation.”

Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, and Kirk Franklin, will receive the BET Ultimate Icon Award during tonight’s awards show, with Carey, Snoop, and Franklin also listed as performers at tonight’s awards show. Tonight’s BET Awards will also feature a 25th celebration of 106 & Park, with Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, T.I., and others set to perform as part of the show’s tribute.
