Michael Pearce directs the Apple Original film, which is written byBrad Inglesby. The trailer opens with Kate (Moore) startled by the sudden appearance of her troubled daughter Claire (Sweeney) on her doorstep covered in rain and blood. Claire confesses to her mother that during an argument with her boyfriend, she hit him with a rock. After Claire says no one saw her, Kate wraps up his body, lugs it in the back of her car, and dumps it in a body of water. “As Kate pieces together the shocking truth of what happened, she learns just how far a mother will go to try to save her child in this gripping tale of love, sacrifice and survival,” the film’s synopsis reads.
Echo Valley is set to arrive June 13 on Apple TV+. The project is produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss of Scott Free Films, alongside Kevin J. Walsh via The Walsh Company and Ingelsby. Rebecca Feuer and Nicole Jordan-Webber of Scott Free Films, Erika Olde and Sam Roseme of Black Bicycle Entertainment, and Ted Deiker and Scott Greenberg serve as executive producers. Actor Domhnall Gleeson co-stars alongside Moore and Sweeney.
