Kim Kardashian, Ryan Murphy Reteam for Legal Drama

Reigning reality star Kim Kardashian is about to get her own scripted series. After wrapping up a performance as a cutthroat publicist in Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story: Delicate, she plans to collaborate with the Dahmer director again on a new project. Premiering on Hulu, the home of The Kardashians, the shapewear mogul is expected to star as a Los Angeles divorce lawyer and owner of an all female law firm, Deadline reports.

Casting is underway for three female law partners and Kardashian’s love interest with production expected to begin in late 2024 and a premiere date of spring 2025.

Although the reality empress plans to play a fictional attorney in the series, she has taken steps to practice law herself. She passed California’s “baby bar” exam after four attempts, and said during the Time 100 Summit that she tentatively plans to take the bar exam in February.

“I always joke with my mom, who’s my manager. I say, ‘Kim K is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney,’” she said, at the Time 100 Summit. “I was like, ‘So you can go help my siblings.’”

The legal drama is written by Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sisters) and Joe Baken. Murphy, Baitz, and Baken first pitched the idea to Kardashian and momager Kris Jenner, who both committed immediately, according to Deadline. The series marks Kardashian’s scripted producing debut. Murphy and Jenner will also executive produce.

Although Murphy is known for streaming and cable hit shows such as Scream Queens, Pose, Glee, and the 9-1-1 franchise, the Kardashian-helmed legal drama marks his first Hulu series under his new deal with Disney.
