Lee Corso is about to call his final College GameDay on August 30, closing the chapter on decades of Saturdays filled with iconic mascot headgear reveals and unforgettable energy from the campus set. An ESPN special celebrating his career aired this past Friday, paying tribute to his lifelong contributions to football as a player, coach, and larger-than-life analyst.

But even as he retires from the set, Corso won’t be missing a single play thanks to a fan-worthy home setup from Samsung. With the help of longtime friend and co-host Desmond Howard, they built a home setup so immersive it’s almost like Corso is still on the sidelines.

“When (College GameDay) show is over and we’re watching games, like live, he’s right there on the sideline,” Howard tells Rolling Stone. “I’m really surprised that officials don’t come and tell him to move back, because he’s almost on the field. Now, since he’s not going to be on the field, watching games, this is the next best option because the picture is so clear, the screen is so big, it’s just like he’s there at the game watching it live.”

Howard says the project carried extra weight because of Corso’s bond with fans and the advice he shared early in his career. “One thing he told me was that we’re in the entertainment business and college football is just our vehicle,” Howard recalls. “And so that like made me realize that I can’t take myself too seriously because at the end of the day, this is entertainment and we’re here to serve our audience.”

Desmond took that philosophy to heart, asking fans on Instagram for their ideas and input to make Corso’s at-home game day setup truly one-of-a-kind. Samsung delivered, creating a space that honors the man, his career, and the community of fans who’ve cheered him on for decades. There’s a neon sign flashing his iconic catchphrase, “Not So Fast, My Friend!”; a portrait of the pesky bulldog that’s followed him throughout his career; oversized pencils from his Saturday rituals; and at the center, Samsung’s Neo QLED 4K TV, glare-free and crisp, with sound so immersive it feels like kickoff is happening right in the living room.

“He’s all about the fans,” Howard says. “I think it’s even more meaningful and special to him, too, because he knows that they had a role in this whole setup.”

When it comes to watching football like a pro, the right setup can make all the difference. “If you go to someone’s house to watch a game, especially a big game, they better have the right equipment,” Howard adds. “Not only does the picture need to be clear, but we don’t need any glares, okay? And fortunately, with Samsung, you don’t have those problems.”

And here’s where fans can get in on it, too: for one week only, from Monday August 25 through Sunday September 7, Samsung is offering nearly 50% off the same Neo QLED 4K TV with the promo code TVLIKELEE at checkout. It’s the kind of deal that lets you build your own fanworthy game day setup at home—one that Corso himself would approve of. See more details here.

Corso’s career, from his days coaching to becoming the face of College GameDay with his famous mascot headgear picks, is already the stuff of legend. Fans can catch a deeper look at his story Not So Fast My Friend: A Lee Corso Special, streaming now on ESPN+, available with the Disney+ Bundle. But if you want to watch college football the way Corso will this fall—up close, larger than life, and without the glare—the Samsung setup is as close to the sidelines as you can get.
