'Weird Al' Yankovic, Margaret Cho, Bob the Drag Queen Lead 'Let's Get L.Aid' Wildfire Benefit Concert

More than a dozen comedians and musicians are coming together to support Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires that claimed at least 25 lives and ravished tens of thousands of acres in January. The benefit concert, Let’s Get L.Aid, will combine standup comedy and live music inspired by the city at the United Theater on March 16.

“Weird Al” Yankovic, Margaret Cho, Bob the Drag Queen, Al Jardine, Alex Edelman, Chris Fleming, Eric Idle, Maria Bamford, Mark Proksch, and Neil Hamburger will make appearances at the event. Other guests include Paul Shaffer, Peter Asher, Puddles Pity Party, Reggie Watts, Rufus Wainwright and Tim Heidecker.

Billed as “A Night of Music & Comedy for L.A. Wildfire Relief,” proceeds from Let’s Get L.Aid will benefit firefighters who battled the various fires as well as those who have been displaced. Tickets are available via AXS.

Over the past month, benefit events have been held in support of Los Angeles on what seems like a near-weekly basis.FireAidhosted a concert with so many eager artists to participate that organizers split it into two simultaneous events at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome. Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Green Day, Katy Perry, Stevie Nicks, Jelly Roll, Olivia Rodrigo, and more took the stage.

Give a Fuck L.A. brought thousands out to the Hollywood Palladium with appearances from Hayley Williams, Lucy Dacus, MUNA, Finneas, Jenny Lewis, Christopher Owens, Fred Armisen, and more. Nashville musicians came together via LA Revival for a benefit show that featured Dwight Yoakam, Turnpike Troubadours, Cam, Corey Kent, Carter Faith, Shane Profitt, and Brit Taylor.

Last weekend, Justin Bieber, Steve Carell, Ross Lynch, Will Ferrell, Snoop Dogg, Vince Vaughn, Danny DeVito, and Cobie Smuldersparticipated in Skate For LA Strong: A Celebration to Support the Fire Recovery Efforts in Los Angeles.
