This season of Love Island USA has been full of shocking twists, but none left the audience and Islanders more devastated than what happened this week during Casa Amor. In an exclusive first look at Thursday night’s episode, the Islanders are left reeling after Nic and Olandria appear to be dumped.
Each season, Casa Amor is a doozy: the couples are split up by gender between the original villa and Casa and meet a new set of bombshells meant to test their relationships. But this year’s Casa had an extra twist: the Islanders needed to couple up for the week with one of the bombshells, and if they failed to make a connection, they would be left single and vulnerable.
To everyone’s shock, Nic and Olandria were both left single and told to leave the villas. These two Islanders had not only been on the show since Episode One, but were in two pretty strong couples before Casa Amor. While their pre-Casa partners remain oblivious, the boys and girls were separately left reeling.
In Rolling Stone’s exclusive first look at Thursday night’s episode, Nic’s friend Ace is still in the villa and left wondering how to tell Nic’s partner Cierra he was dumped. “You speaking on Nic like he’s dead,” says Ace. “I’m sitting here thinking how I’m going to break the news to Cierre.” Meanwhile, at Casa, an oblivious Cierra is starting to make a connection with bombshell Elan.
As the preview continues, the aftermath is full of high emotions and plenty of horniness. The Islanders appear to be leaning into their new connections, especially Amaya with bombshell Zak, who had chosen her over Olandria. Amaya is seen crying with Zak about the ordeal, but later gushes over how nice it felt to sleep next to him after their first night together.
There is, of course, plenty of smooching: a challenge in the preview indicates that the Islanders will get an extra nudge to explore the physical side of these new connections, and they seem to do so with glee.
The preview does not offer more insight on the twist at the end of Tuesday’s episode: after Nic and Olandria were “dumped,” they are seen getting into a car together, seeming to indicate that their time on Love Island is not quite over yet.
