The drama never stopped for this season of Love Island USA. The trailer for the upcoming reunion special promises emotional confrontations about what happened during and after the seventh season.
In the new trailer, the cast of Love Island are seen entering the building dressed in their evening finest. Some of the cast members who didn’t last long on the show seem to be all laughs, as bombshell Charlie jokes about seeing all the people who voted him out. But things are not quite as cheerful for the OG members. Winners Bryan and Amaya also come under the spotlight, with Bryan seemingly addressing rumors he cheated on Amaya during a club appearance, as he refers to something as a “lapse of judgment.”
Jeremiah also confronts the boys who voted him out of Fiji, with Ace standing his ground on the fact that he was not entirely responsible for the decision. Meanwhile, basketball player Chris addresses claims his ex Huda has made about him and their relationship in the press following the season. Chris and Huda made it to the final four but broke up during their final date.
Huda, meanwhile, seems to be the center of many tough conversations. During an interview on Call Her Daddy, she claimed that she had been bullied by the other girls, including Chelley and Olandria, who had been her friends throughout the early half of the season. In the trailer, Chelley and Olandria are teary-eyed during the trio’s conversation, noting how Huda’s comments felt like a betrayal.
Viewers are also teased with the full, unedited footage from this season’s Heart Rate Challenge, a sexy game where the islanders dress in lingerie and give each other lap dances. The usually fun and lighthearted challenge caused a stir when Huda’s lap dance on Chelley’s partner Ace caused an explosive falling out between the pair.
The Love Island USA reunion special will premiere on Peacock on August 25. The show’s host, Ariana Madix, will moderate the reunion alongside Andy Cohen.
