In the past couple years, I’ve admittedly become a bit of a fraghead. I’ve amassed a collection of interesting-looking cologne bottles, become able to identify different notes at a whiff of a candle, and definitely have opinions on Boy Smells’ recent rebrand. But even most coveted fragrances can’t last forever — formula strength fades over time, tiny tester tubes get used up. That’s when I had a revelation: what’s the easiest way to get a signature scent that’ll really turn heads? Easy, just infuse the threads.

I really haven’t felt the need to spritz on cologne for a night out after washing my shirts in their “01 Taunt” scent, based on their highly-coveted,best-selling fragrance.The vegan and cruelty-free formula is described by the brand as “a coming-of-age story” that “smells like daydreaming about your first perfume.” But I think the scent perfectly encapsulate a sweet yet mature vibe, thanks to blend of bergamot, fresh dew, cassis, vanilla and amber. This warm and sultry detergent is formulated with plant-based and biodegradable ingredients, making it a solid pick my sensitive skin, too. It’s not too overpowering, but lingers on my clothes for a least a few days after a wash (enough to pick up a compliment or two).
In my pursuit of a fully perfumed life, we think all the Dedtergent scents (including their clean, warm Milk and Xtra Milk) are actually worth the price, even when they’re not on sale.
