Madison Beer stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform her recent single “Sweet Relief.” The singer took the late-night stage in a silver glitter dress, where she showcased the sultry song on an eery playground set alongside her live band.
“Sweet Relief” appears on Beer’s recent album Silence Between Songs, released earlier this fall. Last month, she shared a music video for the track, which evoked the ethos of the MySpace era.
Beer recently spoke toRolling Stone about the album,reflecting on younger versions of herself and how much she’s changed. “It’s hard to think about who I was then and how different my life was. I just feel like a completely different person,” Beer said. “I feel really proud of the person that I am. I feel proud of the girl that I also was. I’ve been able to absorb so many things in the last couple of years and learn from so many things.”
To support her album, Beer will hit the road next year on a massive world tour. The Spinnin Tour will find Beer playing 52 shows over the course of 2024, starting with a European and U.K. run from late February through March. Beer will then kick off her North American tour on April 24 at the Filmore in Minneapolis; it’ll wrap on June 13 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Spinnin Tour is named for the opening track fromSilence Between Songs. The album marked Beer’s second studio effort following her 2021 debut,Life Support. Along with releasing her LP this year, Beer alsopublished a memoir,The Half of It. In the book, she spoke honestly about herstruggles with depressionduring her adolescence, especially in the weeks afterher nude photos leaked onlineand she was dropped from her label and management at age 16.
