Olivia Rodrigo will celebrate Record Store Day’s Black Friday by gathering the four “secret” songs from her new album Guts on an exclusive vinyl out Nov. 24.
For the release of Guts: The Secret Tracks, Rodrigo has teamed with Jack White’s Third Man Records to press the four songs — “Obsessed,” “Scared of My Guitar,” “Stranger,” and “Girl I’ve Always Been,” each of which were snuck onto four different color vinyl variants of Guts — on opaque deep purple vinyl.
“All 4 secret tracks from GUTS are coming to vinyl pressed exclusively by @thirdmanpressing for a limited drop on @recordstoreday black friday!!!!,” Rodrigo posted on Instagram. “Im a big @thirdmanrecords fan and I’m so stoked to have my songs on their vinyl!!!”
Rodrigo also shared a photo of her giving Jack White a haircut at New York’s Brooklyn Steel, presumably taken in February when the rocker/record label maven performed at the venue:
As the mock-up for Guts: The Secret Tracks reveals, all four songs will be pressed on the A-side, with the B-side featuring an etching of Rodrigo’s butterfly logo. As of now, the four “secret” songs from Guts are still unavailable to stream officially on any service.
Other artists participating in Record Store Day’s Black Friday 2023 include Post Malone, Joni Mitchell, Margo Price, Billy Strings & Willie Nelson, the Grateful Dead, My Morning Jacket, Jonas Brothers, and countless more artists.
Rodrigo will next embark as one of the artists featured on this year’s Jingle Ball trek before kicking off her own massive world tour in 2024.
