The era of streaming bundles continues. Today, Apple and NBCUniversal announced the launch of the Apple TV and Peacock bundle. Available starting on Oct. 20, the bundle will cost $14.99 for the Apple TV and Peacock Premium bundle or $19.99 for Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus. The bundle lets subscribers save over 30 percent on the price of each streaming service. On their own, Apple TV is $12.99 per month, while Peacock costs $10.99 for the ad-supported tier and $16.99 for the ad-free tier.

The plan will let subscribers sign up through either Apple TV or Peacock, and to promote the new bundle, select Apple content will be available on Peacock, and vice versa. Peacock subscribers will be able to watch up to three episodes of Apple programming, including Stick, Slow Horses, and Silo, while Apple TV users will be able to watch up to three episodes of Peacock shows, including Law & Order, Bel-Air, and Twisted Metal.
The bundle comes amid a marketing shift for Apple, which quietly dropped the “Plus” from its streaming service. The app is now simply known as Apple TV. Somewhat confusingly, that’s also the name of Apple’s hardware device, which turns any TV into a smart TV and competes with similar devices from Google, Amazon, and Roku.
The new bundle will be available just a day before the start of the NBA regular season on Oct. 21. That’s notable because NBC will be the new national broadcasting home for select NBA games on Mondays and Tuesdays. All games on NBC will be available on Peacock, and over 40 games will be exclusively available on Peacock.
Apple TV is also home to sports content, including the MLB’s Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders, which are available to all subscribers directly through the Apple TV app. The Apple TV app is also home to MLS Season Pass, which is available with a separate subscription.
