Peacock is getting a big price hike: on July 23, both the ad-supported tier and the ad-free tier will jump by $3 a month. The NBCU-owned streaming service is also creating a new tier, called Peacock Select, which will cost $7.99. It will include next-day access to NBC and Bravo programming, but won’t include sports programming.
The price hike is likely owed to Peacock’s big investment in sports; starting with the 2025-2026 season, Peacock and NBC will be home to NBA games on Mondays, Tuesdays, and select Sundays. If you’re looking to lock in a lower monthly rate, now might be the time to sign up for an annual plan.

An annual subscription to the ad-supported tier is currently $79.99 a year, while an annual plan for the ad-free, Premium Plus tier costs $139.99. Peacock has historically run a deal on Black Friday that drops the annual price to $20, but it’s unclear if that deal will return with Peacock.

Is Peacock Worth It?
Peacock’s Premium Plus tier includes live access to your local NBC channel, plus ad-free content. The lower-priced Premium tier is ad-supported and includes live sports and programming from NBC and Bravo, such as Love Island.
Peacock’s movie selection includes titles from DreamWorks, Universal Pictures, Lionsgate, and Warner Bros. Peacock is also a great option for sports fans. The streamer is the US home of the Premier League, and is also home to Golf, NASCAR, and major sporting events like the Olympics. Monday and Tuesday NBA games will begin streaming on Peacock with the start of the 2025-2026 NBA season.
