Rauw Alejandro Unveils Next Album Title to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Award Win

Rauw Alejandro has the name for his upcoming album ready. On Wednesday, as the Hispanic Heritage Foundation announced him as a winner of the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Award for Vision, the Puerto Rican star shared that his next project will be named Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0.

“This is just the beginning… with my next project, Capítulo 0, I want to keep showcasing not only Puerto Rico, but the full essence of the Caribbean,” he said of his upcoming LP in a press release.

Alejandro will be honored during a ceremony hosted at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 4, which will later be broadcast on PBS. In celebrating the award, he spoke about the importance of his most recent project, Cosa Nuestra, and its importance to celebrating Puerto Rico.

Cosa Nuestra has always been my way of representing my island, my culture, and my people—wherever they may be. Every detail — the beats, the visuals, the dancing — reflects part of our Puerto Rican roots and our connection with other sister cultures, because we’ve been shaping the history of music for a long time,” he said. “During this month of celebration, I’m filled with pride to keep elevating our story and our vibe from a special place.”

He added, “Thank you for this Vision Award at the Hispanic Heritage Awards. It’s an honor to join the list of incredible creatives who have received this recognition.”

Also set to be honored this year are Cheech Marin, who’ll take home the Hispanic Heritage Award for Arts, and Rizos Curls’ Julissa Prado, who’ll get the Hispanic Heritage Award for Entrepreneurship.

“As an artist in constant motion, Rauw Alejandro embodies the very essence of the Vision Award, bold in creativity, future-focused in his global impact, and unapologetically original in everything he does,” saidAntonio Tijerino, President and CEO of the HHF in a press release. “His work is not just music, it’s a movement that confirms what Latin artists mean to the world.”

Alejandro’s last album, Cosa Nuestra, dropped in 2024, featuring collabs with Bad Bunny, Pharrell, Feid, and Romeo Santos. It’s unclear when Capitulo 0 will drop.
