Earlier today, it was announced that legendary singer, songwriter, and soul music icon Roberta Flack had passed away at the age of 88. The Five-Time Grammy award winner, who released top hits like “Killing Me Softly With His Song” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” was not only known for her musical achievements but was also regarded as one of the first African American women to break boundaries in the industry.
“We are heartbroken that the glorious Roberta Flack passed away this morning, February 24, 2025,” her spokesperson Elaine Schock said in the official press statement. “She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Roberta broke boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator.”
