Following the contentious Season Four finale, The Bear has officially been renewed for another round of culinary chaos.
The award-winning show by creator Christopher Storer will return in 2026, FX announced on Tuesday.
“The Bearcontinues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” said FX Chariman John Landgraf in a press release. “Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew makeThe Bearone of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
Given the cliffhanger in the last season, it’s unclear who will return for the new chapter, and whether Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of the crew will reprise their roles.
White is set to portray Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, in theaters Oct. 24. Meanwhile, Edebiri will star with Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield in After the Hunt, with the Amazon MGM Studios project slated for a limited theatrical release on Oct. 10. Edebiri will also feature alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Woody Harrelson in James L. Brooks’ 20th Century Studios film Ella McCay in December.
FX’s The Bear garnered 11 Emmy Awards for its second season and has received nods and wins from the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Peabody Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Writers Guild Awards, Directors Guild Awards, and more.
Season Four of The Bear dropped all 10 episodes on Hulu on June 25. A Rolling Stone review by Alan Sepinwall of the season said that despite its runtime, the show “never seems padded because so much is happening” and that thanks to its characters and sharp writing is able to“feel real and honest,” keeping “a core of emotional truth to it, in the way that only the people we love the most can drive us that crazy.”
