The Return of Lil' Timmy Tim? Timothée Chalamet Tapped as 'SNL' Host — and Musical Guest

Timothée Chalametis set to take on his third hosting stint at Saturday Night Live — but this time, he’ll also serve as the musical guest. Yes, you read that right.

NBC announced Friday thatcomedian Dave Chappellewill host the sketch show on Jan. 18, withmusical guest GloRilla, while Chalamet will pull double duty as host and guest on Jan. 25.

It’s unclear what exactly Chalamet will do for his musical performance. Perhaps he will channel Bob Dylan as he did in Complete Unknown and sing “Like a Rolling Stone,” or maybe he will return to his roots with an original rap offering as Lil’ Timmy Tim. He could even attempt a cover of the Black Eyed Peas’ hit “I’ve Got a Feeling” since he’s proven to be quite the fan of that song recently.

Either way, the special occasion will mark the actor’s fourth time hosting.

Chalamet previously opened up toRolling Stonein theNovember cover storyabout his musical transformation into a young Dylan for the biopic, saying he worked with vocal, dialect, and movement coaches on top of learning to play guitar and harmonica. The versions of the songs that appear in the film were primarily recorded live on set.

“Youcan’tre-create it in the studio,” Chalamet said. “If I was singing to a prerecorded guitar, then all of a sudden I could hear the lack of an arm movement in my voice.”
