Given their mutual roots in skateboarding, punk music, and Southern California, it’s no surprise that Travis Barker and Vans have a long history together. But it is surprising that the pair have never officially collaborated on a shoe — until now. The Vans x Travis Barker Old Skool, announced on Monday, is available starting today on Vans.com.
The black Old Skool sneaker features a barbed wire motif on the outsole, a radio logo on the tongue, and a gothic font reading “Dues Paid” across the vamp. The mantra “reflects Barker’s tenacity and the legacy he has earned through relentless perseverance,” according to Vans. The sneaker features Travis Barker’s name across the heel as well.
Barker, best known for his ferocious drumming as part of the pop-punk trio Blink-182, has a long-running love affair with Vans. He’s appeared at Vans events and campaigns, and once even auctioned off his blood-stained, stage-worn Vans Authentics, in part for charity. And of course, Blink-182 has appeared numerous times at Vans Warped Tour.
The Vans x Travis Barker Old Skool collaboration was shot by photographer and Vans curator, Atiba Jefferson, and New York skateboarder Ben Kadow appears alongside Barker in the campaign. Barker also released the track, “Dues Paid,” to tie into the campaign.
Vans said that the collection will be followed up with a second drop in 2026. In the campaign, Barker can be seen wearing a white pair of Vans Old Skools featuring the same motifs, suggesting a white version of the sneakers may be on the way soon.
